Welcome to Lighthouse Community Church of San Diego: a fellowship of God’s children in downtown San Diego, California. Our congregation is comprised of a diverse group of believers who share the same love and commitment for the Lord and His word. You will find our members to be some of the kindest, most caring people in the San Diego area.

The focus and mission of this Church are to be led by the Holy Spirit, to share the gospel of Jesus Christ, to train all in Biblical truth, and to include each one in a community of faith and fellowship.
Specifically, the purposes for which this Lighthouse Church is formed are:
• To promote the Christian faith at home and abroad through proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, through religious services, public worship, personal evangelism, religious education, and the testimony of its individual members.
• To seek the salvation of the lost and the edification of its members in accordance with the precepts of God.
• To administer the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
The Church is subject to the control of no other ecclesiastical body. The members govern themselves under the leadership of the Pastor as he is guided by the Spirit of the Almighty God. Accordingly, the Word of God, as recorded in the New Testament, is the source of governing authority and the final word as pertaining to faith and practice.
Meet Our Pastor, Earl L. Martin J.D.
Meet Our Pastor, Earl L. Martin J.D.
Pastor Martin has been a preacher and teacher of the gospel for almost 40 years. He is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, where he grew up as a Roman Catholic. For all of his formative years, he was educated in catholic schools. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Florida A&M University, an MA in Biblical Studies from Southern California Seminary, and a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Maryland.
He is a veteran of the Vietnam conflict, where he served as a Captain in the U. S. Army. He has spent many of his years working as an attorney and businessman in many capacities.
Since he made the Bible his source of truth in 1985, he has maintained a constant commitment to studying, teaching, and preaching the Bible. He is the founding pastor of the Light House Community Church of San Diego. His many years as a teacher, preacher, and assistant pastor have uniquely prepared him for the God-given assignment of leading the establishment of a bible-based church in downtown San Diego.
Pastor Martin’s guiding principle for this assignment are the words of Jesus to the Apostle Peter:
John 21:17 (KJV)
“17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.”
